Health Insurance Explained

By Jeff Cline

Health care has become very expensive these days. This is because medical science has gone through a lot of advancement and development over the past few years. This has resulted in the development of new methods that are used to treat ailments and cure various types of diseases. The rising costs of health care have become a problem for all types of people. This is why people go in for what is called health insurance.

Health insurance is an answer to most people's problem of covering medical expenses. It is a type of insurance that pays for all health care expenses that are incurred by people these days. This insurance is provided by government agencies as well as many private companies and firms whose business is to sell insurance plans.

Individual health care insurance covers the medical expenses of the individual who has purchased the insurance. Group insurance policies are more common in organizations and firms where a single insurance policy covers the medical expenses of a group of employees of an organization.

Health insurance can be defined as a contractual agreement between an insurance company and an individual. An insurance company is either a government agency or a private firm. A non profit organization can also work as an insurance company. The basic function of an insurance company is to find out the cost of health care that a person is likely to bear. Once the company has an idea about the cost, the company develops a financial plan on a monthly basis or annual basis. When a plan is made on monthly basis, the money is paid in the form of premium and in case of an annual plan; money is paid in the form of annual tax. The type of plan is decided by the insurance company and also is based on the requirements of the person getting insured.

There are different types of health insurance plans that one can opt for. An employment based health care insurance plan is the one which is provided by the employer or the organization for which a person works.

Direct purchase plans are individual health care insurance plans. These plans can be purchased by any individual. And is individually underwritten.

Comprehensive health care insurance plans are the ones which pay a percentage of the medical expenses or the expenses which are left or not paid for after the insured person has paid some of the amount of the medical expenses. Also known as Catastrophic coverage. Meaning mostly used to cover major medical occurances.

The scheduled health care insurance plan are the ones which cover the health care expenses which are incurred on a daily basis by the insured persons. Such as; well visits, sick visits and routine exams. Most commonly known as PPO or HMO plans. - 21396

Car Insurance in SA

By Graham McKenzie

The South African car insurance market has some unique challenges. For the most part, South Africans have the choice of buying car insurance or not, so that translates into a majority of the country's drivers operating uninsured vehicles. South Africa is also a very risky place to drive. It often leads the world in the number of traffic injuries and deaths each year.

This combination of a risky driving environment and the alarming number of uninsured drivers has led to high insurance premiums for responsible drivers looking for auto cover.

Although it is the most costly form of insurance cover, Comprehensive Cover provides the highest form of protection of all the other insurance covers. The cover includes protection not provided by the other two other forms of cover, Third Party and Third Party Fire and Theft. Third Party covers you in case there is damage another persons property in an accident or a person is injured in a mishap that you are responsible for. Third Party Fire and Theft covers you when your vehicle is destroyed by fire or is stolen. Comprehensive Cover on the other hand is an all inclusive cover. It covers damage to your car, medical expenses and replacement of broken glass

This may not mean much to you right now. But when you realize that each time you get behind the wheel, you take the risk of damage to your car, to yourself, and to other people and property into your own hands, driving without insurance is really a frightening idea. Can you afford to repair or replace your car if you are in an accident? If you cause an accident, can you afford to repair or replace someone else car or property? What if your car is stolen, hijacked or vandalized? If you cant afford to pay for these things out of your pocket, you need insurance.

Since you are informed that insurance is needed, learning about lowering your premiums will take some time.

One of the most influential factors is your driving record. If you have a spotty driving record, you will represent a greater risk to the insurance company, and your premiums will reflect that. Fortunately, if you keep and maintain a clean driving record, your premiums will start to go down. Drivers who already have a good driving record can receive discounts for each claim-free year.

When insuring a car, the a major factor is the type of vehicle. Higher risks are assigned to high performance vehicles. Also, insurance for luxury cars will cost more because they are more expensive to repair or replace.

Reduce your premiums by increasing your safety measures. Add gear locks or global tracking systems that exceed your policy's minimum and ask for a discount.

Compare insurance rates by requesting quotes online. You will find the most competitive rates and may even receive a discount for purchasing online! Bear in mind that the lowest priced insurance policy does not always offer the best coverage. Evaluate your insurance needs and select the policy that covers you best while keeping your rates as low as possible. - 21396

Getting A Look At Mesa Honda Dealer Success And How It Occurs

By Billy Bonham

Mesa Honda dealer success and why it happens is no great secret to those who understand the automobile industry and also how customer service is used within the industry. Honda as an automobile manufacturer understands how important it can be to make sure that its dealer network and the cars it provides them has helped the company and the dealers to weather some of the worst economic times in memory.

Honda has been a force in this country in terms of automobiles since the mid-1970s, when it first introduced the now-loved Honda Civic. And though that first Civic bears no physical resemblance to the model that is such a top-seller today, it has much in common with it in terms of superior quality and a dealer network, including those in Mesa, that back the car 100% at all times.

Honda has followed a program that emphasizes delivering a high-quality vehicle that will be sold and serviced by a lineup of high-quality dealers, and it has proven successful time in and time out. Evidence of this is shown by the recent "Cash for Clunkers" federal program that aimed to help daily domestic American manufacturers sell many cars. Honda, in fact, did great.

Some of this has to be due to the fact that Honda cars are rated very high in almost any measure of quality and customer satisfaction. The company's network of dealers worked extremely hard to put not only the Civic but also the Honda Fit into the top 10, with the Civic placing in the top 3. This outcome should be of no surprise to most who are familiar with not only the company but its dealers, by the way.

In Mesa and the surrounding area, its dealers have been among Honda's most highly rated franchises for years. Almost all are outstanding in delivering sales, service and customer satisfaction in large doses. In fact, many customers have been returning to a Mesa Honda dealers for years, which shouldn't surprise anyone familiar with the philosophy of the company and of its dealer network.

It should be said, though, that no auto company will survive long if it is pushing junk, and Honda is in no way, shape or form a junk pusher. Every car that it sends to its dealers is taken by those same dealers and then delivered to customers that invariably walk away from the transaction completely satisfied and eager to continue partaking in the Honda ownership experience.

Mesa is centrally located in a larger sales region, so Honda makes sure that all of the dealers in the area have been extremely well trained to emphasize service after sale as one of the hallmarks of the company. Additionally, Honda has provided many tools for a prospective customer to access that show which dealers are rated the highest when it comes to customer satisfaction.

That's why getting a look at Mesa Honda area dealer success can reveal so much. The company is so well-placed to keep surviving -- and even thriving -- in the current economic downturn that one is hardly surprised when Honda and its dealer network continually outperform the industry in terms of profit and market share. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Mesa area. - 21396
