Finding The Values For Used Motorcycles

By Allison R Thompson

When it comes to buying a used or second hand motorcycle, it is important that you go in with your eyes wide open relating to just how much the bike is worth. There are a number of different factors, which can dramatically affect used motorcycles values. The mains ones being the year of manufacturer, its condition and where it is.

When it comes to valuing a used motorcycle the easiest way of making sure what you are paying for it is by looking in either the Kelley Blue Book or the NADA guide. Below we are going to talk a little bit more about these two reference books, which provide you with details regarding the values of various motorcycles.

The National Automobile Dealer's Association (NADA) Guide is as well known as the Kelley Blue Book. However, a large number of dealers and private buyers prefer this one over the Kelley Blue Book simply because they feel it offers a large amount of information relating to how the valuation of each vehicle is arrived at. The Guide has been published since 1933 and is one of the largest publications offering valuation prices for all types of vehicles including motorcycles.

However when talking about books which offer information regarding the valuation of vehicles then the one you will hear most people talk about is the Kelley Blue Book. This particular one has been available for over 80 years now and unlike NADA they actually produce more than one type of price guide book. The one that you will often see most dealers of vehicles referring to including motorcycle dealers is known as the "Kelley Blue Book Auto Market Report - Official Guide".

However rather than providing the person with a true valuation of what the bike may be worth instead it gives you the retail value (price the motorcycle will sell at). The price that you see in this guide is often less than what the dealer would be willing to sell the bike to you at (remember there in it to make a profit). So when looking to buy a used motorcycle it is important that you have all information to hand before.

Researching the true values of the used motorcycle, you are considering buying provides you with far more bargaining power than if you did not. However if you are having difficulty in obtaining copies of either the above mentioned pricing and valuation guides then why not go online. There are now sites set up where you can quickly find out if the price being asked for a used motorcycle is reasonable or not.

One particular site that you may want to consider taking a look at is called "motorcyclebluebook.com". Here they will be able to provide you with price details for all types of motorcycles. They have a user-friendly search program where all you need to do is enter the make, model and year in which the bike was built or registered . Then after entering these details they will send an email to you showing you details of the value and prices at which the motorcycle you are interested in buying are selling for.

Another website that is now offering you the chance to get hold of used motorcycles values very quickly is Edmunds.com. Along with supplying you with details of the value of a motorcycle, they will also provide you with details of what price they expect the motorcycle to sell for. However, to get a good comparison relating to used motorcycle values it is best if you check the prices you are provided on these websites and from the guides mentioned above against the prices of the motorcycles where you live. - 21396

Is It True, Run A Car On Water?

By Aaryn Obruchev

Is it really true, can you run your car on water? People will scoff at the claim when they see it. But they just don't know the full story. Or they may have been the victim of one of the many scams that are out there claiming this.

It's because of those scams that are around that many people will think this is not true. But when you begin looking around be warned there are really two scams out there. Beware for those people who lie about the whole thing and say it works.

Also watch for those scams that are full of information that isn't correct. The main way that you can tell a scam is if they say you can run a car on water, and only water. Because you won't do that, but gas and water is a true fact.

However, due to these two things many people will now feel that you can't run your car on water. But in reality you will be able to run your car on water, although it will only be a partial running on water.

The claims that you can run your water on complete water power is not true though. So remember that you will be looking at a scam in this case. There are no machines that are run on perpetual motion, it will not work it would be a violation of thermodynamics.

This process is done through the use of electrolysis, and it's a basic type of electrolysis at that. Your water will become electrolyzed by using an electrical current that will be sent by the battery or alternator of a car. When that happens the gas is going to separate and turn into HHO gas.

As the HHO gas is pushed or pulled into the car's intake system, it will mix and burn with that gas. Since you have the mixture now, you will not be using the same amount of gas you normally would. Plus it will also lead to higher gas mileage, and lower emissions.

HHO gas will be much cleaner than gasoline being burned, only a bit of water vapor will be emitted. Information of this technology has been around for years, in fact as early as the 1700s.

Scientist have been studying the use of electrolysis actually since the 1700s. So it's a method that has been around for years. In the 60s William Rhodes got a patent for a machine that used electrolysis to work. And again in 1970s another patent was applied for by Yull Brown. His machine worked in much the same way as Rhodes did. In fact both methods have now been used for welding technology for several years.

Over the years the name has been termed Hydrogen fuel injection, and has now gotten the endorsement of the National Hydrogen Association. Some car manufacturers have been testing the method on new models, and the results are positive.

Perhaps one day we can all be driving a vehicle that is run on HHO gas and gasoline together. - 21396

Learn How To Ride A Motorcycle

By Amanda Gamdana

Motorcycle riding is a breezy experience. It is mandatory that you know exactly how your machine functions. While there are many quick learners of the process, some struggle hard to grasp the information. In the final analysis, it depends on how much you believe in yourself and want to learn the relevant skills.

Keep in mind that the motorcycle you learn on is going to affect how well you are able to learn to operate it so make sure it is designed to fit you. Most people learn to ride a motorcycle using some one else's bike, so this could create some problems for you. However, you have to make sure that you do not get yourself a heavyweight bike and that the height is such that both your feet can touch the ground. It is critical that you are able to reach the gas, handle bars and brakes without making any extra effort and it could make better investment sense if you go for a cheap second hand bike which suits your body perfectly. When you are comfortable with riding the bike, reach out for a superior model.

Nothing can add to your insecurity as someone watching over you, especially if they are concerned about you damaging their motorcycle. It is a total waste of time if you are not comfortable with your coach. Another good investment is to approach a professional institute and learn riding from a trained and skilled trainer.

One you have mastered the basics, keep on practicing, just like driving any other vehicle. While you are in your learning phase do not attempt to ride on busy streets and highways till such times that you are very sure of your riding skills. You need to practice the skill of changing lanes, application of sudden brakes, managing turns and twists safely as these are normal situations on the road.

Learn to ride in any type of weather as these things are never taught. It is amazing to see your bike behaving during a sunny day and a wet day. No matter what type of riding conditions you may face, but when you are geared to face any eventuality, then you are a superior rider. With increasing experience, you could venture out for longer rides or may be take part in the annual rallies.

Avoid getting too much carried away by your bike but practice your skills hard and only then can the riding experience be nice and happy. Too many beginners want a new motorcycle or the same power as their friends. These bikes eventually become too big for handling or they land up getting injured. This could mean that you get fed up with the learning and eventually sell off the bike.

Make your learning experience a rewarding and pleasant one by not rushing through your lessons all to ride through the super highways. Keep on practicing the skills and keep on learning from your mistakes. The challenges involved in riding a motorcycle can be conquered with hard work and following due safety measures. - 21396
