What is Injection Moulding and Is It Worth It?

By Maisie K Booth

Injection moulding is a way of creating multiple parts that are the same shape. For example, if you have a manufacturing company and you need to create a large volume of plastic parts that are the same shape and size, then you would use plastic injection moulding machines to speed up your production line. The great thing about it is that it's cost effective and it also requires little supervision from staff.

Injection moulding works in a few stages. Firstly, the plastic is melted and pushed into a mould. The mould is then squeezed together to form the shape of the piece required. Next the machine will cool the mould (usually using water) and you are then left with a perfectly formed piece of plastic ready for the next stage in your production line.

Most of the time, people use injection moulding to make things faster and to make sure that things are very accurate. The machines that are used are all computerised and this means that they run like clockwork and are very accurate. They are ideal for creating the same product over and over again in a hurry.

Car manufacturers use these machines a lot - so for example, the lid of a radiator bottle in a car will be created using this. There are hundreds of cars made every year and therefore this sort of process is required to ensure speed and accuracy.

Hand making plastic products like this would be a real nightmare and although sometimes this is required, injection moulding is simply used when speed is of the essence. It's also very cost effective because the only costs are the initial purchase, the moulds and of course water to cool the moulds when needed.

This makes it a very popular option for businesses who need to make things like this. Most major manufacturers use this service and there are a lot of options available on today's market. You should have no problems finding something that's suitable for your needs. - 21396

Cheap Used Trucks Ready At Vehicle Auctions

By Salvador Escobar

What Exactly Is An Auto Auction?

You can find cheap used trucks at most auto auctions -- a variety of auction that pushes only vehicles like cars, trucks, SUV's, and more. Several millions of cars find new homes every year thanks to these types of auctions. Unfortunately, most are reserved for dealerships looking for new products to sell, but there are others that do cater to the public. Online auctions are also starting to gain popularity, for instance through eBay.

Extreme Low Pricing: Truth or Lie?

There are without a doubt some incredibly low prices present at each auction. Vehicles have been known to be driven off the lot for 90% off the price of an original, a sale owed to the fact that many cars that have been reposessed are shoveled back out into the market through auto auctions.

Many dealers have introduced the concept of "reserve pricing" lately to combat the low prices. What "reserve pricing" means is that a dealer will only sell a vehicle to a bidder if their winning bid is at or over that reserve price, which happens to be declared before the auction ever takes place.

On the flip side of the coin, car prices can zoom skyward just as easily as it can drop through the floor. Picking up your dream car for bargain basement pricing isn't impossible, but it doesn't happen often.

Where Are They Located?

Auto auctions are held all across the country almost every day. Most of the time, they're held by Federal and government agencies, police departments, or privately sponsored auction houses. The schedules of auto auctions are frequently posted online on websites, in the offices of the agencies taking part in the show, company brochures and even in your local newspaper. Find one near your location, visit and see if you can find that cheap used truck you've been looking for.

Proper Identification

You have to pay a registration fee in order to attend a vehicle auction. The only positive side to this is that you can pay when you're on site on the day of the show.

No Warranty

Keep in mind that any cheap used truck you purchase in an auction won't have that "in house" warranty that a dealership would. If there's a manufacturer's warranty that hasn't expired, then that should still be valid, though.

Quality Of The Vehicles

Cheap used trucks and other vehicles you can look at during an auction aren't available for test drives, but any bidders who would like to can do some small scale testing. Try out the air conditioning, heating, the engine, and many other accessories which can run while the vehicle is on. It's not much, but at least you know the ignition will turn.

How Is Payment Issued?

Auction vehicles usually are paid for the same way you buy anything else: check, cash or credit card. Check with the house where the event is held for any special instructions, if there is any, or what forms of payment are taken.

Honesty Is The Best Policy

When you win an auction, you are legally bound to pay the amount you agreed to pay over a certain period of time. If you're not able to make your payments for whatever reason, you'll be charged additional fees and penalties to compensate for your misjudgement. - 21396

The Reason The Garage Floor Paint Has Begun To Peel Away Away

By Gerry Patterson

Whenever you first realize that your epoxy garage floor paint has begun to peel, your initial reaction may be to place blame to the product itself. I mean, if the coating is tarnishing, then it has to be some cheap, ripoff product, correct? Well, not necessarily so. In truth, this "cheap" and "inferior" floor coating normally won't peel, dull, crack or even wear away. Most likely, if your garage flooring is having a peeling problem, it is more of a moisture problem.

Epoxy Garage Floor Paint Keeps Moisture Out...And In.

Epoxy will definitely insure the protect of your garage floor's concrete from moisture and humidity in air, but doesn't have any defense against moisture from under. Epoxy is made to have a seal-like ability that is able to prevent moisture from most origins from penetrating through, almost completely. For example, if oil were to drip on the garage flooring, it would not be able to penetrate through the epoxy paint, and as a result the concrete will not have absorbed it and can just be cleaned up.

Concrete Has Pores Too!

Your concrete garage floor will also absorb things from its bottom and sides, which are buried in the ground. Luckily, even if it absorbs something other than water, you wouldn't see the stains if they were there, being underground and all. However, water will always try to evaporate, and that's where we run into a problem. Remember that seal that the epoxy garage floor paint created? Well, it doesn't let water out any easier than it lets water in. As the moisture from around and under the concrete makes its way to the surface, it pops up underneath the garage floor paint. The result is bubbles and then, when there is enough water, the bubbles will burst, causing the peeling effect that those who have an epoxy garage floor so dread.

Epoxy Garage Floor Paint Does Not Get Along With Humidity

Some issues related to your area can cause this peeling effect. Humidity, for one, can play a big role. In humid areas, everything, including the earth itself, will stay moist for quite a while after rains. This creates a large area from which the concrete will draw water. The situation is even worse if water is able to pool against the concrete in any way.

Ground Water Is No Exclusion

The amount of your local water table is able affect your garage floor coating. Put frankly, a water table means the surface of ground water. When a water table is high, ground water is near the bottom of the concrete garage floor and means that it is likely that water will soak through. Take notice if the soil in your area stays damp even when in the midst of a drought. It is likely that your water table is high. - 21396

Indian Four And Indian Motorcycle Line

By Larry Raymonds

In'27 when Indian Motorcycle began manufacturing they had three major products which included the Indian Scout, the Indian Chief and the Indian Ace. Later they got possession of the assets of Ace Motorcycle Company which got stamped as Indian Four.

There was a lot happening in America in'27 with the first all talking movie was made called The Jazz Singer, with Al Jolson. This year also saw Charles Lindberg flying across Atlantic to reach Paris achieving success for the first time while Babe Ruth in the 8th innings of a game between New York and Washington strike his 60th home run. A man called Louis Gehrig was in the line-up after Ruth for the beating.

Though farmers were facing a difficult year - tough enough that many of them sold out and became tenant farmers, America was at the peak of the Jazz Age in'27. The Indian Motorcycle Company was having a fine year as well.

In this year Indian Motorcycle models like Scout and Chief were at the top and selling exceptionally well. Indian motorcycle also came up with "Indian Ace" after they got the assets of the Ace Company. This top line big and luxurious bike with four cylinders was called Indian Four after one year.

Indian Four bike from the Indian Motorcycle was built till'42. Initially known as Indian Ace this bike got 77 cubic inch (1,256 cc) four cylinder machine in'41. It was fitted with tank-shifting three speed transmission and famous Indian fender. After'42 with the start of World War II the production of Indian four was stopped altogether.

America and Indian Motorcycle both were walking ahead in the year'27. The chief client of the Scout and Chief brand from Indian Motorcycle was the police department. So much so that the company had to have a new department dealing with the supply to the police force. They also saw to it that the bike had a new lower frame.

But they probably didn't know just how important the 101 Scout from the year'28 would be. And in'27 they could barely know that 40 years into the future an Indian motorcycle would set an Under-1000 cc speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in northwest Utah.

It is difficult to find a1927 Indian Motorcycle. The existing bikes have been restored by the bike lovers to its previous shape and can be sold for $30,000. The most exciting year in the history of Indian Motorcycle Company was'27. - 21396
