Water Fuel Cell Technology To Intensify Your Car?

By Alexis Jameson

If you imagine the water fuel cell technology cannot intensify your car, then you have to think again. It can bring a paradigm shift, but we bear the information and that you are now capable to buy these items for saving energy and cutting down gas bills by as much as 60%. They are quick to install, but folks just do not seem to know about them.

The person credited with the research of water fuel cells is Stanley Meyer. He was a researcher in the U.S. who unfortunately died before he could see his idea of entering the market. In fact his claim that these cells can power a car were fired for fraud, because it went against the laws of thermodynamics. In 1996 a court in Ohio, came to this conclusion!

Fortunately the concept of a perpetual energy source from water fuels cells did not die with Stanley Meyer when he sadly passed away in 1998. His idea was that the hydrogen and oxygen molecules would be split, the hydrogen would be used as the energy source and return to the system to reconstitute with oxygen molecules again creating water.

It would have been nice for Mr. Meyer to have survived to see his concept come to fruition, but such is life! The fact that the court found his claims to be fraudulent did not stop other researchers exploring his dynamic ideas.

There are many speculations about the concept of water fuel cells, but it's reality and nobody can put their hands on them, not a big secret.

It is amazing that this alternative energy source to a car or other machinery for the issue is not fully accepted in the mainstream. Gas prices are unbelievably high, and this gas is the source of energy available, but it seems to be slow in adoption.

The advantages of using alternative energy resources are of paramount importance. We all know this. However there seems to be some reticence on the part of the purchaser, more than likely fueled by myths that making use of these cells reduces the performance of the car. Apparently this is not so!

Gas prices are going to continue to increase even more in the future. The environment is being damaged quite dramatically, not only by pollutants from motor vehicles powered by gas, but also by the fact that fossil fuels are diminishing in supply, so more mining than ever is taking place in a search for this. This alternative energy solution, is ready and available, we just need to make use of it. - 21396

An Introduction To Online Car Insurance Quotes

By Alex Cho

Before the Internet came along, finding a satisfactory deal on your car insurance took ages. It was a frustrating and time consuming task and you could take as much as an hour just to get one quote off one company. Thankfully, with the Internet, it is now possible to find a much better deal, save a lot of money and all very quickly. Online car insurance quotes are undoubtedly the best way to go, especially considering the number of quotes comparison websites available.

You will need to spend a little bit I'm doing some research to find the best deal, and sometimes the results might not be applicable to you and you may still need to make a few phone calls. You also need to have some details at hand and also know how much coverage you are going to require. Remember, there is no point in ensuring your car for more than it's worth. The only thing that is mandatory is to have liability insurance.

A number of other factors also depend on the price that you will have to pay for car insurance. Amongst these are age, sex, experience of driving and the engine size of the car. For example, a car with a small engine size driven by an experienced driver will incur very low insurance prices whereas a fast car driven by a young driver who has only just got his license will incur very high premiums, if insurable at all.

Remember that the insurance companies entirely go by the risk factor, and the higher the risk you pose, the higher the premiums will be.

You should have a few details ready and written down before you start looking for car insurance on the Internet. You will need to write in all the details about the car that you want to insure and you need to enter some personal details as well. A good place to start is Google or any other search engine and start by searching for car insurance comparison websites of which there are quite a few to choose from.

You will need to punch in all the details that you have written down and then the comparison site will come up with a list of results based on your requirements and the details you have entered. These results are usually arranged in price, starting from the cheapest. You can then click on the company of your choice and be redirected to their website where you can sign up for the deal.

You may also find out if you are eligible for discounts. Those who have very good driving histories and haven't made any claims before should certainly be eligible for some discount.

If you cannot find all the information you need on the Internet, you can at least narrow down a couple of companies which you can then phone to get some further information. Generally though, finding cheap car insurance is only a click away. - 21396

The Best Way To Watch Car Videos Online

By Jack Stewer

Car Videos are a maturing niche on the net, and can be found in many categories and streamed across many mediums. The term would broadly speaking be referred to in the context of the many, numerous car advertisements on Television and in the movie theatre, but does actually define any video about autos in general, and can extend to related topics.

The most favorite types of car video would, not surprisingly, be the more exhilarating videos, such as car racing, car crashes, and stunts. Motor racing is a very popular viewer sport, so this of course extends to a digital viewing experience in the various mediums shown below. Big car crashes usually make big news, and hence are widely seen, and big stunts bring excitement and enjoyment from seeing. numerous of the most highly-rated videos will include a mixture of some or all of these categories.

And there are, other types of car video, and this would include the widely applied adverts (that largely feature driving footage), comedy, and footage of test drives, amongst other things. It can also extend to the use of videos about other types of vehicle (planes, bikes, ect.), or even just the people associated with these vehicles, but is rarely measured in context to the previously discussed categories.

These videos could be shown on a assortment of medium, such as on TV, either in unique shows about motoring like Top Gear, scenes in general programmes (e.g. an action chase event), or on the advertisements referred to above. Movies often include such shots, or are based on autos (recent ones would be Speed Racer, Death Race, and the appropriately named animation, cars). The Internet is by far the most popular method of displaying car videos, and specific web sites allow anyone to place a video about anything related to this area, the biggest being Youtube. Whatever way you choose to see videos, though, you will most likely see car clips, even if you do not watch with that intention, and that is a testament to the place that cars have in our culture.

The main uses for car videos would clearly be for either advertising (as referred to above), or for entertainment (pretty much anything else). Some videos may include both methods, such as in motorsport, where the autos have company logos shown on them, or an advert which uses excitement to get the viewers attention. However, the aims of the video will normally be intended for just one of these approaches.

Generally though, car videos are all generally met with positive reactions, as there are plenty of ways for car videos to be used in, and as it is a favorite type of entertainment, there will always be new approaches to this, and will never be lose its attraction. - 21396

Hybrid Cars and Plug-in Hybrid Cars

By Colin Jones

Hybrid cars are on everyone's minds these days. Twenty, forty, or fifty dollars for a tank of gas? Who really wants to pay that sort of money? But, frustrated, the petrol consumer sighs, but pays up. However, hybrid vehicles are being richly applauded for the small amount of petrol they need to operate, and they are flying off the forecourts of car dealerships each and everyday in ever increasing numbers.

But what about a plug-in hybrid? Most consumers have heard that these cars are fantastic as well. So, someone might be asking him or herself, what exactly a plug-in hybrid is? How do they work, and what the difference between a plug-in hybrid and a regular hybrid is?

Plug-in hybrid cars are able to run just on batteries, but they can also use petrol also. These types of hybrid cars have some of the features of hybrid vehicles. They are also very similar to all-electric vehicles.

Plug-in hybrid cars must be charged externally by plugging them into an electrical power source. The combustion engine of plug-in hybrid vehicles is engaged only as a back up. These cars can run only on batteries if desired, but it is expected that these types of hybrid cars are recharged daily.

Hybrid cars travel just as many miles as a conventional car. Designed to go the extra mile where fuel-mileage is concerned, hybrids can be driven on the highway, in cities, or wherever else a person needs to drive.

On the other hand, plug-in hybrids are designed to handle commuter-length distances, meaning between twenty and sixty miles between destinations. This way, the plug-in hybrid does not have to use its back up combustion engine, but plug-in hybrids can go further using fuel as well.

Hybrids help to minimize pollution, but they still pollute the air. Compared with plug-in hybrids, hybrid cars still have a long way to go where pollution is concerned. Since plug-in hybrid cars can run solely on their battery power, they don't have to emit waste gases. That means that plug-in hybrids don't need to pollute the atmosphere.

Plug-in hybrids really do cut total greenhouse gas emissions and plug-in hybrids use virtually no oil at all, imported or not. Studies have shown that electric hybrids emit at least 67% less greenhouse gases than diesel cars. Since the product used to power plug-in hybrids is completely renewable, the difference in greenhouse gas emissions may be even greater than the study showed.

There you have it - the major differences between plug-in hybrids and regular hybrid cars. It could make a big difference, but you would be surprised at how little it actually matters at the moment, but tht's only because plug-in hybrids are not being marketed to consumers yet! But this article should make you excited about the fantastic plug-in hybrid car, which will be featuring soon on a dealership near you.

And it's going to be a spectacular debut too. People already really like regular hybrid cars, but they haven't seen anything until they see the new plug-in hybrid cars. However, for now, maybe they should just be satisfied with what they have, because who knows? Before plug-in hybrid cars come out, something even better might be introduced onto the market. - 21396

GPS - How It Got On Your Dashboard

By Matt Meeano

Since Man first fashioned tools to help him hunt, he has always tried to improve the technology that assists him in living on this sometimes unforgiving planet. Over the centuries these tools have developed and become more efficient and effective and progressively have become more and more high tech. GPS, or Global Positioning System, is one of these advances in technology.

GPS has so wormed its way into our culture that millions of people are using it all around the globe this very minute in order to get from Point A to Point B and to pinpoint their present location. To understand exactly why these people are using GPS to help them in their daily lives, it is good to understand a bit more about the technology that allows it to work.

The way GPS works is a relatively simple concept when broken down completely. Strategically placed satellites that are orbiting the Earth, relay a signal searching for any GPS receiver on the surface of the Earth. The signal is received by the GPS unit and then decoded. The unit and the satellite then communicate with each other and the satellite then transmits the coordinates to the GPS unit. This transfer of data allows anyone looking at the GPS screen to see where they are currently located.

During the 1970's and 1980's the satellites for GPS were deployed for the United States military to use in navigation for their units on land and at sea. It wasn't until the '90s that GPS was allowed to be used for commercial use. Since that time, GPS has rapidly wormed its way into the marketplace and into our lives. It is so widespread and commonly used that a good unit can be found inexpensively.

All this makes GPS technology affordable to consumers everywhere. And since it has become more affordable, GPS systems are now seemingly in every vehicle on the road. By helping you make sure you are going the right direction, GPS saves you time, money and frustration on your next trip.

Buying a car gives you an opportunity to get GPS built into the multimedia system inside the dashboard. This means that you can not only get the functonality of GPS but the car will be worth more when you go to sell it. However, if you have a vehicle without a built in GPS, you should go buy one that fits your financial situation and preferences.

GPS has made the time honored journey of a piece of technology that benefits people in peacetime that was originally developed for warfare. - 21396
