Looking To Buy A Car In Utah? Tips To Make The Decision To Buy New Or Used

By Mike Ansel

People who are looking to buy Utah cars often can't decide whether to buy used or new. Of course, not all have this problem-people who can't afford new, or who can't access enough credit for new don't suffer such indecision. But if you're having trouble deciding between new and used, and you have the option to buy new, then you might want to answer the following car-buyer questions. Your answers might help you with your decision.

The first question you need to ask yourself is how much you think of buying a car as making an investment. If you answer, "Not at all," then you could very well be a used-vehicle kind of person. If you answer, "Totally," then you could be a new-vehicle sort of person and should check out buying new from Utah car dealers.

If you fit neither of these opposites, but you're somewhere in the middle, you should then consider asking other questions. Ask yourself how much it would bother you to lose value to depreciation the first and second year of ownership; do you truly want the higher monthly payments of a new vehicle; how important is driving a new car to you; how patient and experienced are you with vehicle repairs; how important is having your choice of options on a car, including color; how important are the most up-to-date safety and other features to you; how important is a mechanical warrantee; how many miles do you typically drive in a year; and how long do you want to keep this same car? As you answer these questions, notice which way each one makes you lean (new or used), and how much. When you assess all the leanings together, you hopefully can see which direction they point you towards.

If financial considerations are of concern to you, but you aren't clear about how they all would affect you, one way or the other, there are real-live bankers and online resources, to say nothing of Utah car dealership financial managers to help you sort through it all. Let me give you a few more points: interest rates for new-car loans are typically one to three percent less than for used-car loans; short loans usually have lower interest rates than do longer loans; and people with excellent credit ratings can sometimes get zero-percent loans from Utah car dealers.

Also, consider these points: lower-priced, Utah used cars have lower insurance costs than do higher-priced, new cars; the more aged the car, the bigger chance of having a very big, possibly unaffordable repair cost; many reasonably new Utah used cars are covered by comprehensive warrantee programs, and somewhat older ones often qualify for extended-warrantee purchase; and buying a one-year-old vehicle could get you a better-quality one for the same amount as a brand-new vehicle.

Utah car dealerships can help you look at all of your viable options for Utah used cars or Utah new cars. - 21396

Cars With Good Gas Mileage Will Save You A Lot Of Dough In The Long Run

By Bill C. Sheers

Seriously, do you remember what you did the first time you drove by the gas station and saw that it said $4 for a gallon of gas? I know I started to search for the closest public transportation. But really, it did make me think about fuel for the first time in my life.

Ever since, sales of hybrids and smaller vehicles have been on the rise. Saving money at the pump may be out of your control, but there are things you can do on your end to make sure your get the most value out of every gallon of gas.

#1 Air is your engines friend -- Not only do you need gas to run your car, it needs air as well. Those are two of the components needed to run a internal combustion engine.(The other is a spark) Keep the filter clean and you may be able to save 10% on your fuel efficiency. This is one of the few things you can still do yourself.

#2 If you drive like you are suppose to, you will save -- Most of us hit the gas pedal too hard and ride the gas pedal too much. These are both kills as far as efficient driving goes. Take it easy on both and see your mileage increase 5-10%.

#3 Stick to posted highway speeds -- Driving at the posted speed limit my not be fun and exciting but, it will definitely help with your fuel consumption. Use the cruise control when possible. The more consistent you keep your speed the less gas you will use.

#4 You have got to get to your mechanic -- Your car will flat out last longer if you get the scheduled services. Not only that, it will be as fuel efficient as it possible can, so do yourself a favor and see your local mechanic a couple of times a year. I can hear you groaning now.

#5 Turn off the Air Conditioner -- While many newer cars have air conditioners that will recycle airs automatically through the cabins when it reaches a certain temperature, older vehicles will just continue pumping it out, wasting energy and fuel. If you can do with out it, do with out it.

We all could use the extra dough, so try a few of these things out. They really can help if you just give them a shot. - 21396

Safety Tip For Driving Your Australian Rental Vehicle

By Jason Hall

Traveling by car is the best way to see those out of the way places, while visiting Queensland, without having to take a tour. Super, diesel and unleaded are available at all stations, however LPG is usually only available at stations located in a populated area. The prices of gas varies from time and place, however it will always cost more on the weekends and bank holidays, so it is best to fill up during the week.

There are many rental companies to choose from so a good idea is to choose the company that offers unlimited kilometers. Other companies also offer one way rentals, which allows you to pick up you rental at one location and drop it off at another. The camper vans and 4WD are the most popular rental choices. 4WD vehicles enables you to drive right into the nature, something that can not be done with a regular car. The insurance on a 4WD tends to be higher and the not coverage off road driving, so make sure you read all restrictions carefully.

Queensland roads consist of a few multi lane highways, major roads with two lanes and dirt roads which are great for seeing the countryside. It is important while driving, especially at dawn and dusk, that you are aware of Kangaroos. They are the most common hazard on Australian roads, no matter what speed you are driving you will make a mess of both your car and the Kangaroo should you hit one.

Most Australians choose not to travel too much at night because of the hazards caused by animals but if you are on a strict schedule, you may find it necessary so if you are traveling in the dark and a large animal appears in front of you, hit the brakes and dip your lights and only swerve if its safe to do so. Numerous travelers have been killed in accidents caused by swerving to miss animal's. Sometimes it's safer for you to hit the animal however traumatic this may be.

Along the east coast and in country areas, drunk driving is a major issue. Attempts are being made to address so be prepared to stop for random breath testing station or booze buses somewhere on your travels. If your blood alcohol levels are greater then 0.05% you should also be prepared to pay a large fine and lose of your license. Parking is another costly problem, although it may cost some money to park in the designated areas, it is still less money then being ticketed. - 21396

Big Brother: Traffic Speeding Cameras

By Martin Pierce

In addition to the traffic red-light cameras, traffic speeding cameras are showing up at a exponential rate on city streets and highways near you. To be honest, I can easily cope with red-light traffic cameras despite the fact they their main purpose is to add funds to local communities rather than to protect its citizens. In any case, running red-lights is very dangerous so I think if you receive a ticket for running the red-light, then you most likely deserve it. However, when a car is tagging too closely behind me, I have certainly pushed through a light to avoid being rear-ended. In fact, red-light cameras are increasing the number of rear-end accidents.

One night last fall while driving in Washington, D.C., I was a little lost. I was trying to figure out where to go and to watch the speed limit. I was doing a good job until I was on my way down a hill. My vehicle picked up a few extra miles going downhill. The few extra mph were enough to set up the traffic speed camera. There was brief flash and then about 2 weeks later I received a ticket in the mail for $150. Who hasn't picked up a few extra mph while driving downhill? If a cop had actually been on the scene, he may have given me a warning. No discretion, ever, from the traffic speed camera.

Big Brother is everywhere. In the not too distant future, I project that almost every city street and highway will have these cameras. At least you get a warning on I-95 in Maryland. Almost everyone speeds a little on the interstate. I guess the cameras will keep this in check. However, since that is not their real purpose I doubt it. Again, their real purpose is to generate revenue. If they work too well, the irony is that they won't be cost effective.

If traffic cameras are not in your local community, then watch out; they are coming soon. Private companies are marketing them heavily as safeguards against accidents. It is well-documented that these cameras are simply "banks" for the local districts and private companies.

If you don't speed, then you have nothing to worry about with these traffic cameras. However, in this fast-paced, sometimes speeding is par for the course. In fact, almost every driver pushes the speed limit from time to time. Even if you manage to stick to the speed limit most of time, you are still subject to receiving a ticket for picking up speed while driving downhill. Also, sometimes you can be almost forced into speeding by the flow of the traffic. Traffic cameras are great for local districts because they can give out tickets with the speed of a flash. Also, the ticket is assigned to the car and not the driver. Should this be unconstitutional?

Big Brother is watching and lurking to take your hard earned money out of your pocket; anywhere from $100 to $400. Given the rapid rise of traffic cameras, the probability that you will receive a ticket from on of these devices is nearly inevitable. There are a number of ways that you can protect yourself against these cameras. The best protection by far, according to my research, is a spray that last the life of your license plate. This spray make your car virtually invisible to traffic cameras. - 21396

Why Do Bikers Like Loud Motorcycle Pipes?

By L.J. James

I have been reading and hearing allot lately about people who are saying that loud Motorcycle Pipes are a major problem in the world. These groups are trying to get those in Government to pass all sorts of new inspection laws for Motorcycle Pipes.

Seeing as Motorcycles make up such a small percentage of the Traffic on the road I would say this problem is very minimal at best. ( I wonder how many cars with bad mufflers are heard that many think are Motorcycles)

These people complain saying Motorcycle Riders like loud pipes because they are juvenile and want to show off and say Hey look at me and draw attention to themselves.

The reason many Bikers like loud pipes is not to say look at me, its to say look out for Me! Many Car drivers these days are talking on the phone, texting , putting on make up , eating , playing loud music , watching DVDs and just not paying attention to the road in front of them. If your in a car an you get hit ,You may get a dent in your car, We could Die! (Nothing enjoyable in life is completely safe)

These groups against loud pipes know gathering citizens together to complain is very easy , if they ask people while they are sitting around all summer long bored "Have you ever heard a Loud Motorcycle Go By?" they are going to say yes they Have!" These groups are then going to talk about how annoying these Motorcycles are and convince these bored people how much better their lives would be if these Motorcycles where gone! These bored people are going to jump right on board!

But now ask these same people when was the last time you heard a loud Motorcycle go by? They will probably hard pressed to find an answer! Was it Weeks ago? Months ago? was it Two years ago?

There are already laws on the books in every state that say a Motorcycles pipes can only be so loud! We do not need new laws on the books that most officers will do nothing about while others will abuse !

This Country spends too much time whining about things! Lets stop and think about Motorcycles. Motorcycles prevent traffic, They prevent wear and tear on the roads, They are great for saving Fuel. They are also a great relaxer, Those who Ride Motorcycles are a lot less stressed!

If people stopped complaining about Motorcycles and went and rode a Motorcycle they might not be so bored with their lives and they would have something better to do with their time!!!

Those who Ride enjoy Life a lot More, This is like therapy and religion all rolled up into one for us! Please do not bring the stress and problems of your dull boring lives into our world !

If you are that board and are looking for something to do with your life email me and I will help you find something better to do with your time. Maybe we can find something you can do that could actually help make the world a better place!!!
