Historians tout that World War One was fought with the help of twenty thousand motorcycles with the majority of the motorcycles being Harleys. In 1983 the Harley Owners Group (commonly known as H.O.G.) was formed. This group holds the title of the largest motorcycle club in history. Membership in H.O.G. grew to more than 500,000 by the year 2000 and is only expected to continue to expand.
