Limousine Styles - Selecting a Modern, Unique or Antique Model for Your Special Event

By Stephen Daniels

Hiring a limousine for weddings, proms, or just a night out on the town, is becoming increasingly popular. Limousines can make anyone feel like a celebrity on their special day or night. But why not add some unique flair to your day with one of the less common vehicles available from many limousine services? The array of models available, ranging from the ultramodern to the vintage antique and everything in between, allows you to choose a vehicle that really expresses your personality, setting the tone for your event in style.

One of the most popular options is the classic stretch limo, a modified luxury sedan. Most of these cars feature room for six passengers, while super stretch versions can accommodate more. Lincoln Town Car limos are perhaps the best known, but Chrysler 300M versions offer another elegant option. Nearly any luxury sedan you can think of has been modified into a limo form, including Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW, Bentley and many more.

For something with a little more passenger space and room to stretch out, SUV limousines are an excellent option. Many people prefer the SUV look to make the statement that they desire. Some of the models you might find include the distinctive Hummer H2, elegant Lincoln Navigator or bling-worthy Cadillac Escalade models.

For those in search of something flashier, a Corvette limousine might be the perfect option. Combining the sports car feel with the comfort of a limo could make you the talk of the town. Prowlers, Chargers and other sports cars have been converted into limos as well. For an even more unique statement, Ferrari and Porsche limos may be available. However, these models are fairly rare and aren't likely offered for hire cheaply.

For a truly unique, vintage feel, you might opt for an antique limousine model. Some specialty companies offer carefully maintained, well preserved classic cars such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Packard, Excalibur and others that date from the 1920s through the 60s. You may find classic cars that have been recently modified as well, creating limos with vintage style yet luxurious, modern interiors.

Are you looking for something even larger than an SUV? While you could always hire more than one limo, it might be even better to get a limo bus! These luxurious parties on wheels are not like a traditional motor coach at all. Many can carry up to 40 or 50 people and typically offer all of the features of an exclusive nightclub. They often have full standup bars, luxurious lounge seats or couches and plush carpet, and some even offer room to dance.

The custom features of today's luxury interiors go way beyond comfortable seats and a mini bar. You can find limos with options like plasma televisions, state-of-the-art sound systems, and even fireplaces. Many limousine services offer customized options, such as top of the line audio systems, fully stocked bars, and special features like fancy lighting and glass roofs for viewing the night sky. Are you in the mood for a swim or hot tub soak as you ride around town? These features are becoming increasingly available as well.

Now that you're aware of the many vehicle options that may be available, you're better equipped to hire a limousine service that can provide the vehicle of your dreams, adding your own special touch to your special day or night. - 21396
