Ways On How To Extend The Life Of Your Car

By Rick Sampson

The automobile is one of the greatest inventions by man. I know that was a long time ago but without it, this world would be different. But what most people don't realize is that those cars don't come cheap when they are busted. There are parts to the car that really should be taken care of. If these parts of the car were to break down they would cost a lot of money. So here are some parts you really need to take care of.

The transmission is the first major part of your car you need to take good care of. This part of the car assists in changing gears. But it is also the part that usually costs a lot when it goes bad. It is one of the costlier repairs in my auto repair shop. The best way to care for this part is to make sure it always has good fluid in it. Also you need to shift gears gently.

The engine is the next part that is very costly to diagnose and repair. Of course most people pay particular attention to the engine because without it, the car won't run. In my auto repair I always give advice to my clients to maintain their engine. The main way to do that is to make sure you always change the oil. If you do that then it will continually run good.

The brakes is another part which is very costly to repair. As small as this part may seem, it is also very costly to replace. In my transmission repair shop this is the most common repair that comes in.

To make sure that this part is in tiptop shape you have to make sure there is always brake fluid. You also want to extend your brakes by just tapping on it gently and treating it well.

Those are some parts that when they break are too expensive to fix. So follow these simple do's and dont's and your car will run smoothly for a long time. - 21396
