This, of course, was only until the rest of the car manufacturers realized how great cars were going to be.

In the old days, cars were very expensive, and were bought, mainly by wealthy people. You would not find a car driven by the poorer people in the community, unless that person was a butler or chauffer. The price of cars these days are not that much different from the price in those days, they are still pretty expensive, but more people can afford them these days.

The time when the first car came out was still the time of the horse and the cart, and because money was not flowing like water (like it is now) many people stuck with their horse and cart, and that is what got them from A to B, and worked perfectly well. For many years you would find the horse and cart on the roads among a few cars, until the global automotive industry news took off.

Now, you have to remember that this number of cars is enormous for a plant that was manufacturing cars by hand. They did not have the heavy machinery we have these days. All of the cars that Ford released were put together by factory workers, now you can imagine what that factory looked like.

There were probably a huge number of people working in making cars in those days. Each person had a different job responsibility and you would be in charge of certain parts of the car and equipment to put them together safely.

Since then the car went from strength to strength and there are more than a million cars in the world today and Ford is still going strong. The automotive industry does not show any signs of slowing down, and a new car name brand pops up almost every year, with manufactures of appliances also starting to make cars, like Daewoo.

Today it is also possible for more people to own cars as there are all different cars for different budgets.
