What Is Water4gas Really About

By Adrian Fletcher

Whether it is rising oil prices or the downturn in the economy based on mortgage banks going belly up, the reality is that prices are inflating. No matter where you look, the cost of life's everyday necessities are inching upwards. Whether you are at the grocery store or gas station, prices are rising higher every week, or, in the case of gas, seemingly every day. This puts extra pressure on people to make savings or cut costs so it is not surprising that they are drawn to any product that promises to help you spend less money for gasoline. These days, the latest hot item that makes this promise is water for gas or also known as water4gas.

While it may sound attractive to use water for gas, it's not technically possible to simply put water into the fuel line of a car or other vehicle. It would cause severe damage to the engine. That does not mean that water4gas technology is fraudulent, however. There is a viable way in which to turn water to usable fuel for your vehicle. It is somewhat different from what you would think it is, however.

When considering Water4gas technology, it would be incorrect to believe that water itself is the fuel alternative. In actuality, water's constituent molecules are hydrogen and oxygen. These two elements when separated are capable of inducing a greater level of gas efficiency. Water for gas is simply worded to make it more appealing to people and to explain the chemical process. Hydrogen gas's only emission is water vapor, plus it burns cleaner and more efficiently than ethanol-based gasoline.

Using water for gas comes from the creation of hydrogen gas, which in turn, an automobile uses to burn gasoline more effectively, thereby reducing the amount of consumption and emissions. By separating the oxygen and hydrogen atoms that make up water, you can generate an alternative fuel source for your vehicle. Here's an interesting fact: hydrogen fuel is what NASA uses to send space shuttles into space!

Most water4gas systems that are currently available online teach you how to convert water for gas to fuel your vehicle. You can also find Internet sites or even auto parts stores that sell kits to assemble and install inside your car. When you purchase a downloadable version of the water4gas systems you receive instructions on how to build a water4gas converter and will need to purchase materials to build it with as well.

Many people believe that any technology that has not been proven is bogus. Many people argue that these system counter the laws of physics and canot work. If you look up the term "water4gas" on Google or Yahoo, you will find dozens of sites that claim the system will save money and just as many that hold that the water for gas idea is ridiculous. There are several online forums where water4gas technology is discussed quite heatedly. You will find both vehement opponents and stubborn defenders of the technology there.

Whether the water4gas system is a scam or a truly revolutionary way for the average person to save money at the pump remains to be seen. However, it is interesting to note that major car manufacturers such as Honda and BMW have plans in the pipeline to produce hydrogen fuel cell powered cars for wide consumption. Honda's Clarity FCX, the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to hit the market, is scheduled for limited leasing-only availability in Southern California for the 2008 summer season. - 21396
