An Introduction To Chevy Cavalier

By Andy Zain

The Chevy Cavalier is a long line of cars with an extensive history made by the American Company, General Motors. The car was originally introduced to the market in 1982 but went on to be produced in many different forms until 2005. Eventually it was replaced in 2004 to 2005 by the Chevrolet Cobalt.

The Chevrolet cavalier was originally produced by the American Company, General Motors all the way up until 2005 when the production line finally ceased, giving way to what is now the Chevrolet Cobalt and is close predecessors. There were various different designs of the Chevrolet cavalier, and he went through three main generations through its design history.

The original Chevrolet was largely similar to the Pontiac which was introduced in Mexico back in 1992. The second generation of cavaliers eventually arrived in 1988. These were completely redesigned with various different styling and highly modified engines.

The engine also became more powerful and in 1990, the 2. 8 l engine was replaced with a considerably more powerful 3. 1 l engine. At the time, the transmission was also overhauled somewhat. Undergoing a slight revision in 1991, with regards to the interior and exterior, the car largely remained unchanged until 1994 which was the final year of the second generation of cavaliers.

In the second generation, the engine also started to become more powerful with a considerable upgrade from 2. 8 l to 3. 1 l. This came in in 1990 and also, at the time, the transition was somewhat overhauled. It went through a slight revision again in 1991 with regards to the exterior and interior. However, after that, the car remained largely unchanged until 1994.

Eventually, the cavalier was facelift and again in 2000 and again in 2003. After the year 2000, the convertible disappeared from the market and was not built again in its form. After having gone through various redesigns, the cavalier finally ceased production in 2005.

The Chevrolet cavalier has now been replaced by the Chevrolet Cobalt which will go on sale sometime this year. Having undergone many changes and been completely new product range, this car boasts some impressive extras and some highly updated technology. As expected, like its predecessors, to be a highly successful model and should go on the market fairly soon. You can find more information about it including pictures on the Internet. - 21396
