Go kart racing has make its way onto the national scene with the onslaught of nascar and other racing ventures over the last several decades. Racing itself is very popular and many kids are starting out on go carts and lawnmowers if you can believe that.

Many parents will start their children out learning how to drive a go cart and then migrate into bigger racing the older they get. Go cart racing has become popular with leagues and races all over the country. Nascar racers like Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon got their start on the go kart racing circuit.

Thankfully there are videos and manuals to better prepare families before they set out on their new adventurous ride. The average speed is about 15mph which is pretty good for a 4 year old child. T

go carts range from childs go carts up to adult go karts depending on your age and size. The beginners start at 4 hp and range in age from 4 to 8 yr old. The average speed is about 15mph which is pretty good for a 4 year old child.

Go kart racing is labeled by categories such as sprint which involves one quarter to a mile oval dirt tracks. Endurance races that last up to 24 hours and include actual strategies and crew like a Nascar race. Speedway racing takes place on a clay dirt track and also involves an oval track with four left turns and 2 straightaways.

Go cart racing is exciting but can be dangerous racing. Imagine running at a high speeds with your body just a few inches off of the ground. Of course safety is always a priority whenever racing is involved. You are required to wear the appropriate gear such as gloves, jackets and approved helmets.

In addition, with the roll caged go karts, seatbelts and arm restraints are required. Go kart frames are built of steel, and the body is typically made from fiberglass. They have a high-tech braking system that uses a set of rear disc brakes, and they feature a super-responsive, straight-steering system.

Go carting can be huge family fun and as long as you are safe and follow all rules and regulations regarding safety you will enjoy many years of fun with this little motorized cart. Make sure you follow all insurance requirements as well as these are very dangerous vehicles. - 21396
